About the Project

NOVAPACK aims to upcycle Mediterranean crops side-streams into value-added ingredients, using a novel methodology of sequential valorization, reaching to every molecule grasping value, focusing on a Sustainability perspective. The produced ingredients will be used to developed new, intelligent and biodegradable packaging, adding value to the value chains and knowledge to the consumer.

By doing so, it is expected to increase food products shelf-life, while providing indicators of food security and quality, even when the expected shelf-life is over. NOVAPACK aims to change our relationship with food products, reducing food loses and educating population and stimulating circular economy within the different actors of food supply chain.
