By combining cutting-edge science with sustainable practices, the project aims to extend food shelf life, enhance safety, and significantly reduce both food waste and dependence on petroleum-based plastics.

Our Mission

NOVAPACK develops cost-effective, bio-based antimicrobial coatings, films and functional packaging solutions designed to:

  • Improve food safety and quality
  • Extend shelf life of fresh and processed products
  • Reduce food waste along the value chain
  • Replace conventional plastic packaging with sustainable alternatives
